Hi I'm Dave

I founded a social media agency, love live music, and swim in Puget Sound. I raise my kids in the best city in the world: Seattle.

About Me

I founded a fast-growing social media agency supporting a diverse set of top brands. My incredible business partner is one of my closest friends, and happens to be gay. We weave work, play and family together, and support each others' events and activities. I married after college, and together my wife and I raise four children who swim in Puget Sound almost every warm day, love Seattle, and enjoy time spent at Mariners and Sounders games. (Bring the Sonics back, already!) I grew up in Southern California, went school at BYU and at Stanford, have called Seattle my home for eleven years, and never intend to leave.

Why I am a Mormon

As a teen I seriously questioned the validity of my parents Mormon faith, and even once stood up in a church meeting and declared that I had no idea whether or not this church was valid. That set me on a journey of discovery, where I learned to truly pray... actually communicating with my Maker instead of merely talking into my pillow. From experience to experience I've come to believe in God, have faith in Jesus, and accept that the LDS Church contains God's truth and Jesus' complete teachings.

How I live my faith

When one works in advertising, loves music, and lives in pop culture, it's easy to be mistaken as not being Mormon. A few clues expose my LDS background: attending BYU, serving as a missionary in inner city New Jersey, and reserving my Sundays for church and quiet reflection. But I live my faith internally: Believing in God, drawing upon the support of Him through prayer, supporting those who struggle, and doing my best to help those who deal with addiction, depression, and life challenges. What is on the outside means very little when compared with what is in our hearts.
