Hi I'm takara

I lived in Kyoto until high school. I attended school in Canada, Hawaii, and Utah, and I am now working in Tokyo. Although they say Japan has a low fertility rate, I have 5 children. I like surfing and hiking. I enjoy both work and play. More than anything else, I love my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Chiba Prefecture and I am the father of 5 children. Japan is a country where the fertility rate is continuing to drop, so the fact that I have 5 children surprises others, but I enjoy living my life surrounded by cute kids. As a businessman, my everyday life is busy, but I am enjoying a fun life by striking a good balance between work time, family time, and personal time. On my days off I surf on ocean waves, and I relieve stress by riding on my Harley-Davidson motorcycle--it took me 6 years to convince my wife to let me buy it! Another reason why I am able to do the things I enjoy is that I have an understanding wife. Thank you!

Why I am a Mormon

In my case, my parents were Mormon, so I have been going to church since I was a child. When I got old enough to think for myself and to have my own opinions, I began having doubts about whether I was living as a Mormon of my own will. There were also times when I even had the thought that having to obey a lot of different commandments (rules) was making me less free, and I even felt that I was missing out on the fun things in life. But when I came to know that this life is a process to obtain happiness that will continue forever, the teachings of Jesus Christ that I had been taught at church became indispensible to me. I want to keep passing on to my children the important teachings and traditions that my parents passed on to me.

How I live my faith

My motto is ‘If life isn’t fun, it is being wasted.’ I have work to do as a father, as a member of society, and as a Mormon. I think it is my life’s mission to teach and to raise my children as a father, to work with all my might and contribute to society as a member of society, and to conduct myself so that I can bring joy to others as a Mormon. In order to do these things happily, I feel that I must first enjoy life myself, and thus I go to the ocean that I love, I ride my motorcycle, and I go places with my family. I do not feel that I am living some sort of unique, strange lifestyle as a Mormon. Rather, I am naturally living a life filled with purpose and meaning in order to be together forever in happiness with my beloved family. One aspect of my fun life is that even if the skies are clear on Sundays I go to church instead of going to the ocean.
