Hi I'm Victoria

About Me

I am mom of 3 children (2 boys, and 1 girl) and a wonderful supportive husband. I am an elementary school teacher by trade, but now I get to stay home. I enjoy reading, gardening, and spending time with my family. I am also privileged to homeschool our children.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in July 1999. I was 24 at the time. From my first discussion with the missionaries, I knew that what they were teaching me made sense. I like logical things, and the gospel is logical. I went to church for 3 months before I was baptized. I also went to church for 2 ½ months before I prayed. When I prayed, I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and everything I had read and learned. Since then, I have had many opportunities to have my testimony strengthened. I am a Mormon because I know it's teachings are true.

How I live my faith

I currently teach Sunday School twice a month and work with the leaders of the cub scouts in our stake. I have also worked with the Young Women (14-15), Women (18+), teaching music to the children (3-12), and have been in charge of Activities. At home, I incorporate our faith in our homeschooling activities.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is a guideline for healthy living. At first I thought it was a list of things NOT to eat/drink, but it actually has guidelines for things to do to be healthy. We should eat off the land, exercise, rest (the best fad diet out there). Show more Show less
