Hi I'm Marc

I grew up in Wyoming, started a software company. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a father of four, software developer, and small business owner. I love to be with my family and play all kinds of games. I love to learn new things. I speak Spanish and have studied a few other languages and I would love to travel the world to improve my language skills.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a family of members of the church and although that is the reason when I was young that is not the reason now. As I have become older and encountered life's struggles and difficulties I have had to put away the shared testimony of my parents and youth leaders. I have had to gain a testimony of my own. It hasn't always come easy and there have been missteps along the way. But I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he is my personal Savior. I strive to be like him in all that I do. I can't say that I am always successful but I try. I know that God loves us so much that he sent his Son. On top of that he also gives us prophets and apostles in these days. They help guide us and teach us the important things of Jesus Christ's gospel. Sure we could all go about our day and live a good life without prophets and apostles but it is wonderful that we have men and women who lead the church and teach us important gospel truths. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and through his humble and sincere prayer he saw the Father and Jesus Christ. I know he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God and that the Book of Mormon will lead any who read it with an open heart to be closer to Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I work with the men in our ward to organize visits to the families that live near us. I also record and post the audio from our meetings for members that are unable to come to church.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Marc
We believe that baptism by immersion is a necessary ordinance that all of God's children must receive to return to live with our Heavenly Father. But it must be performed by someone who has the priesthood authority to perform the ordinance. Show more Show less
