Hi I'm Abe

and I'm.....me!

About Me

I'm Abraham. People call me Abe for short. Well, about me. I'm Korean. Born in California raised in Utah where I currently reside. I served a mission in Toronto, Canada speaking Korean. I enjoy having fun. I enjoy doing a plethora of activities. Rockclimbing, snowboarding, dancing, having good talks, music, eating with chopsticks, camping, just to name a few. I enjoy laughing and making others laugh. Family and friends is where it's at. I believe that life is good. That even though things can be hard sometimes that there is always good to be found anywhere and everywhere.

Why I am a Mormon

Good question. Many people think that being a Mormon means that you're some weird cultist with messed up beliefs or that it's a religion with to many rules. But actually that's not true at all. Why? Because I've been asked this question many times. Because I've done my fair share of questioning. And I have learned through experience. The reason why I'm Mormon is because I know that the things we do and believe in is from God. How? By asking God through prayer and living or trying what God has taught. There is no other way. You cannot know by someone else's opinion whether or not they are in the Church or not. It has to come from God and no one else. That's how I found out. I did my reading. I did my praying. I did my living. And I found out that this is true. The teachings bring a deeper meaning of life. You know that there is a purpose in living. You find a true source of happiness, a longer lasting happiness. It teaches high standards. Living up to our potential. It teaches that there is always hope no matter what. There are so many things that one can find out. To many for me to explain all of it. Simply put it helps you find true happiness. That's why I'm Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being happy. I choose to be happy because that's what the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings. Happiness. I do what God asks of me which is to "follow Him" Not only by word, but also by deed.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is something that everyone needs. It is a personal foundation of the knowledge of what is true. So when Mormons say that I have a testimony of this gospel, that means they know for themselves that this Church is true. It's like in the government court systems. When someone comes to testify they give what they know to be true. The New Testament is full of testimonies. All the Apostles testified that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God. Christ testified that He is the Son of God here to do His will. The Book of Mormon testifies that Jesus is the Christ for the whole world. One cannot gain a testimony out of thin air. It has to come through personal effort. Testimony is like a seed. You have to plant it, then nurture it, then upkeep it. Show more Show less
