Hi I'm Roger

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Roger and I joined the church 53 years ago when the Elders knocked on my parents door. I was 16 at the time. I had attended the Salvation Army Sunday School each week, along with my sister and brother. I was about to commit to becoming a Junior Soldier just before the Elders called. I was the first member to be baptised in the area I live since 1910.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I beleive we have a living prophet today and that Joseph Smith received a vision of Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. This assisted in restoring the gospel in all its fullness to the earth today.

How I live my faith

I have served in the local unit of my church for over 53 years. Serving in lots of different positions, all unpaid. I also served in the Stake (An area of the church which consists of several units in different towns.) I have always enjoyed talking with other people about what I and other members of the church believe in. I am about to go on a mission with my wife. This means we will live, in a different area from which I now live. We will try to help other people, both in the church and those who are not members both spiritually and physically to try and help them have a better life.
