Hi I'm Chance

I was born and raised in Phoenix AZ. I have a beautiful family and now live in El Mirage.

About Me

I am a husband, father, business owner. I love to read, spend time with my family, garden, and sleep (when I can fit that in). I have a young family that really demands lots of my time and the best that I have. I have to say that being a dad is the most rewarding yet difficult thing I have ever done. Lessons learned from my family have been most rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe God has a plan for me. I believe his Son, Jesus Christ did actually come to earth and died so that I could be made clean and pure. I also believe our Savior is the perfect example of how to live life. I have learned through the practice of living his teachings that they work, that practice has turned for me into a knowledge that His gospel is in fact here on the earth in its entirety. I believe that God, the Father and His Son Jesus Christ did actually appear to the boy Joseph Smith in a now sacred grove of trees. He asked questions and opened the windows of heaven to revelation and answers from God. I believe the authority to receive those answers resides on the earth today. This is why I am a Mormon. I feel that God loves me, he has a plan for me and he wants me to have all the happiness that I will let him give me.

How I live my faith

I have always been fully engaged in my faith. From the time I was a little boy I loved the feelings I would get s I learned and served. I guess if I were to admit it I am a pretty selfish guy at the core and I yearned to feel the good feelings as often as I could. This activity from my youth led me down the path of scouting, that I loved, as a young man. My Eagle rank was a big achievement for me. I then served a mission for the church in the Idaho, Boise mission. What a great experience. I am sure that had something to do with me meeting the most wonderful girl ever when I got home. Since coming home and getting married I have served in all sort of church assignments. They all have helped me become a better husband, father and follower of Christ. I also will admit, it still gives such a good feeling it keeps me dedicated and serving in the church. I currently lead our Ward as the Bishop. I get all sorts of opportunities with this one. I have had to learn to rely on the Holy Spirit like never before. So many different experiences come my way that I have to let the spirit guide me. It keeps me on my toes for sure. I have found the easiest way in life is Gods way. I have found that daily prayer and scripture study are the fundamentals for happiness. I have also learned that thinking about how to help others on a daily basis is the other key to happiness. I am sure there are other keys to happiness, these 2 just seem to work well for me.
