Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Pennsylvania. I play in the Marching Band. I study as a College Student. I serve as a Boy Scout Leader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised by my parents in a small family with one brother in rural Pennsylvania. I grew up faithfully attending church every Sunday at a small local United Methodist Church. When I was 18 years old I was introduced to the Mormon faith by my best friend. I learned about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized a member of the church soon after. I served a full-time mission for the church in Cape Verde teaching the gospel in Portuguese and Cape Verdean Creole. I am currently studying in college with an interest in International Business. I am a local Boy Scout Leader and love working with youth to help them build strong character. I have a mother and father and one older brother that is married with a baby boy. I love my family very much, even though I am far from them and don't get to see them very often.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to follow the Mormon faith because I learned of the love that Heavenly Father has for me. While in my senior year of high school, my best friend had the courage to share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with me, and helped me find true happiness in life. My friend gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon and invited me to meet with the local full-time missionaries. I met and studied, and it wasn't long until I decided to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized. Since being baptized I have served a full time mission (2 years) for the church in Cape Verde. I know that God is our Heavenly Father and that His son Jesus Christ suffered for our sins. The gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone.

How I live my faith

I share the gospel with others in simple ways. Being an example to friends and families is what I do to serve and help others.
