Hi I'm Laureen

I grew up in California.. I have raised 7 children and teach piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother, with grown children and a nine grandchildren (currently). I work full-time and teach piano lessons on the side. I serve in the Church and community. I love to read and sew (I am currently developing an interest in quilting although I haven't tackled anything very complex just yet). And music is a vital part of my life (piano especially). I like to work in my yard, which is slowly getting prettier. I like to tackle home repair/remodeling projects too.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know in my mind and heart that the gospel of Jesus Christ is truly found in this Church. I was raised in the Church and then developed my own testimony as a young adult. I had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Argentina, which strengthened my testimony of the gospel and my Savior. My understanding of our Heavenly Father's plan for us as His children brings great joy into my life. I feel comforted by the truths that I am a spirit daughter of my Heavenly Father, that my Savior, Jesus Christ, lived to give us an example of how to live and that he atoned for my sins, making repentance possible.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example of our Savior, whose life I study through the scriptures. I serve in the leadership of our children's organization. I also visit some other women in our congregation regularly to share gospel discussion and friendship. I read Church literature regularly and ponder and pray daily, seeking to know God and Jesus Christ and their will for me.
