Hi I'm Kristen

I love to cook, read, dance and sing. My favorite place to be is home with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to dance although it has been years since I took a formal class. For now I dance around the kitchen with my kids! I stay at home with my two sweet boys who keep me on my toes.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In a world with values that are always shifting, the Church is a constant for me. I know it's true- I've prayed about it many times, asking Heavenly Father to confirm that I am doing the right thing by being a Mormon. Time and again a feeling of peace has come following those prayers. That feeling of peace is consistently there when I am following God's commandments and actively participating and living the principles of my church.

How I live my faith

Being a stay-at-home mom I often feel like my sphere of influence is so small. But as I have watched my boys grow I have realized that my influence in our home is one of the most powerful ones in my children's lives. I love to pray with my boys every day and share with them my love for the Savior. I hope that as they grow and the pressures of friends and media increase, the influence of our home life will continue to be powerful in their lives.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead (God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost). He is separate from God and Jesus Christ and is a spiritual being. He is able to be with and influence any and all of us at the same time- thus the importance of him being a spiritual, not a physical, being. The Holy Ghost can bless us in many ways- he can teach us, warn us, comfort us and most importantly he can confirm truth for us (which means we can pray and know for sure if something is true). I am so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost- many of my important life decisions have been made based on the feelings and promptings I have received from the Holy Ghost. Looking back I know I have been guided in the right direction because I followed those promptings. Show more Show less
