Hi I'm Connie

I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have three children and 5 grandchildren. I grew up in Utah. We lived in Denver Colorado for 9 years We now live in Nebraska. I love midwest thunderstorms and listening to the rain fall on the roof. I like to watch movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church. My ancestors on my mother's side of the family were Mormon pioneers. My dad was a convert to the Church. He was baptized when I was 12 years old. Of four siblings, I am the only active church member. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I know He is the Savior of the world. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is so simple and so beautiful. I know that His gospel was restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. I know that he was a prophet, that he actually saw God, the Father and Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that is another witness for Jesus Christ. I know that families can be together forever. I know that there is a prophet of God living on the earth today. I know that he receives revelation from God just as prophets did anciently.

How I live my faith

I teach an early morning scripture study class to 14-18 year olds. I love being able to start each day this way.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Connie
In ancient times, members of Christ's church were also ask to pay tithing. Everything, we have has been given to us by our Father in Heaven. Giving Him back just 10% is such a small thing in comparison to what I have been blessed with. I know that I am always in His debt. When I pay my tithing, He blesses me even more. Show more Show less
