Hi I'm T. Andrews

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a writer. I'm an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother who enjoys writing and creating art. I've been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1996.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I believe that it's teachings are true. I joined this church after deciding that I wanted to live the way God wanted me to. My decision led me to this church. After investigating the tenets of the church and praying whether or not it was true, I was baptized. The Holy Spirit bore witness to me that this was where God wanted me to be. I have worked hard every since to learn and live the gospel.

How I live my faith

Because I'm a mother of young children, I live my faith by trying to be a good example to my children. My husband and I try to help them learn and love the gospel through family prayer, family scripture reading, and family home evenings. Family home evenings is where we set aside one night per week, Monday, to do gospel centered activities and lessons. It is not always easy with young, often loud, active children in the home, but we also try to keep our environment Christ-centered. When problems come up we pray about them and try to do what Christ would have us do. We're not a perfect family. We get angry, we say unkind words, we offend one another, but we repent and try to do better each day. Besides raising a family, I enjoy teaching and serving others. In the church I have served in several teaching and leadership positions. I have enjoyed creating activities and opportunities to support members in living the gospel. I have most enjoyed visiting teaching. Visiting teaching is a program in the church that partners women to teach and serve other women in the church. Not only does it give me a chance to do something I love: teaching and serving. It also gives me a chance to get to know each sister that I visit individually.

What is the Book of Mormon?

T. Andrews
It is another testimony of Jesus Christ. It is the records of ancient people in the Americas. It testifies of Christ's birth, His ministry, the atonement, and His ressurrection from their perspective. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

T. Andrews
Mormons believe the Bible to be the word of God. We use the King James version of the Bible because we believe it to be the most accurate. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

T. Andrews
Latter-day Saints believe that the purpose of life is for us to experience the ups and downs of life, put our trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, do our best to keep and live their commandments, and return to their presence. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

T. Andrews
Yes, I do believe that there is a prophet alive today. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and they know that we need guidance to help us avoid the pitfalls of life. Prophets are the mouth piece for the Lord, they help us to relate what we read in the scriptures to our world today. They help to encourage us and remind us of why we are here. They testify that Jesus and Heavenly Father live and that they are real and relevant today. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

T. Andrews
Life itself testifies to me that there is a God. There are so many things that work together to make it possible for our bodies to eat, walk, talk, breathe, etc. that I know that we weren't created by chance. Someone had to think of all of these essential "ingredients". Show more Show less
