Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a Mormon. I recently got married in the Boston Temple and I love being married. I also attend school at BYU-Idaho.

About Me

Right now my life is mainly consumed in being a wife, living with my in laws, and watching the various animals in the backyard. My in laws have 3 horses, 3 ducks, 3 baby ducks, 2 geese, 3 cats, 1 dog, 3 pigs, 2 cows, about 10 turkeys, 1 peacock, and a lot of chickens. My favorite of the animals is the new horse they brought home last weekend. He is so precious and cute. I am an elementary Education major at BYU-Idaho. That is also where I met my husband. I love kids and can not wait to have my own one day. My husband and I got married a month ago. I love being married especially because of who I am married to. My husband treats me like I am his queen.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I continue to go to church because it's where I belong. I feel good going to church and to the temple and to all my activities. I love being a Mormon because I will be with my husband forever. I could not imagine life without him and one day when one of us passes away we will know we will be together again someday. I am a Mormon because when I am sad I know how I can cheer up. I can listen to church music, I can read my scriptures or listen to general conference talks. Being Mormon has kept me on the straight and narrow. I have not messed up my life with drugs or alcohol. I stay away from pornography and sexual impurities. Because I am Mormon I have found a man who I can love and trust and who I know loves me too. I have found a man who wants to start a family with me and can not wait to start. I am Mormon because I know what I have learned is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through obedience. I have had a few callings in the church. As a young woman of the ages 12-17 you attend Young Women with other girls your age. I served as the Beehive president (group for girls ages 12-13), the Mia Maid president (group of girls ages 14-15) and as the Laurel president (group of girls ages 16-17). My most recent calling was in the nursery. The nursery is for children ages 2-4. This was a great calling. I enjoyed it a lot because I got to practice for the job I want in my future and also the spirits of the children I watched were so strong and pure.
