Hi I'm Matt

I'm a research scientist in North Carolina.

About Me

I work for a pharmaceutical company in Research Triangle Park investigating how genetics can impact drug discovery and development. I am married and have four kids between the ages of 12 and 20. I enjoy a wide range of activities, usually with friends, church and/or family, including climbing, backpacking, triathlons, singing, woodworking and tending to my garden and chickens.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a long heritage of faith in my family, including early pioneers that crossed the plains on foot and by wagon to join the saints in the Salt Lake valley. However, I can point to several specific moments over my lifetime where I have felt the gentle hand of my Father in Heaven guide me and His Spirit bear testimony of the divinity of His Son, may Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ. I am a christian, and that faith is who I am and permeates all aspects of my life. I love my fellow men and try to serve them. I love my family and spend as much time as I can with them. I stay close to my Father in Heaven through prayer, scripture study, and service.
