Hi I'm Eldon

I grew up in Alaska. I fish for a living and I go to school. I play soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Alaska. I like to do all the outdoor things such as snowboarding, snowmachining, skating, soccer, running, fishing, hunting, and many more outdoor activities. I watch soccer now that I don't play it as often. I like to travel and see the world. I have a goal to see every continent. I am now going to school for my bachelor degree. I want to make the world a better place. I like to challenge myself. I am a very competitive person.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is what is right. When I was younger, I didn't understand why I was here, where I was going, or where I had been. I just lived day by day with the experiences life threw at me. I thought everything was random. When I was 19, my mother invited me to go to church because it was going to be my last Sunday with her for a long time. I didn't want to go, but I went for my mother out of respect. When I went it was fast and testimony meeting. I saw little children going up in front of over 100 people and they were telling everyone how they knew that God was their Heavenly Father. I asked myself how could they know? I just wanted to the meeting to end, when I had this weird feeling that I should go up. I didn't want to, but I followed that feeling. When I was going up, I experienced a feeling that changed me forever. I can't go into details, but I can say this. After that point, I know that we all have a Father in Heaven who loves us and is constantly watching us waiting to lend a guiding hand in our lives. He loved us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ to atone for our sins, so that we may return. Joseph Smith restored the church under the direct authority of Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven and through divine help, Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that when I read the Book of Mormon, I am blessed with answers and knowledge. When I read, I learn more about our Savior, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I testify these things to be true in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I think that living my faith has defined me as a person and defined my character. There are many ways in which I live my faith. When I wake up in the morning, I pray to my Heaven Father. I then read my scriptures and seek answers to my prayers. I attend church every Sunday and I try to be the person that my Heavenly Father wants me to be.
