Hi I'm Katherine Gwyneth

I'm a wife. I'm an artist. I'm a TV Presenter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a master student at Brigham Young University and in the middle of writing my thesis on the Maori haka AND I am a TV Presenter for my sister's Cosmetic Line on TV channels all over Europe. I was born in Germany to American parents and grew up going to an all girls catholic school as a mormon girl. I always was a little bit of an outsider or at least felt lonely because no matter where I was there always seemed to be something that made me very different from everyone else around me. This did not make my childhood sad but I do think it allowed me to build certain strengths very early in life. My father is an Opera singer and because of that I grew up with music in my home. I studied Acting in Chicago, Illinois and got a Bachelors of Art.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because nothing in life has ever been able to give me the peace, strength and pay back that serving in the Lord's church does. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that reading it will bring any person closer to their Savior than any other book. It will help anyone understand the Bible better and love it more. It will more than that however help anyone understand and love themselves more than anything else in the world. There have been many days and weeks in my life where I was overcome with trials and loneliness and by reaching deeper into myself and trusting my relationship with my Heavenly Father in a deeper way always got me through those times and let me emerge from them as a stronger, more in tune and even more intelligent.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it and talking about it to everyone around me. I served an 18 month full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints when I was 27 and that experience made me who I am today and gave me the life I am privileged to lead now because it taught me what is truly important in life. In our church Ward here in Munich I teach as the women's class (Relief Society) instructor every third Sunday. I love those times because I am allowed the opportunity to share my feelings with women of all ages and stations. It is so wonderful to be able to truly feel sisterhood. I believe very strongly that women hold immense power when they have the opportunity to truly stand shoulder to shoulder. Hearing the women in my Ward share their thoughts and feelings about their relationship to their Savior and their Heavenly Father is one of the most uplifting and thrilling thing to me. I also teach the Young Adult class called Institute. I love this class just as much. Young Single Adults are courageous amazing people and it is humbling to be a teacher to them.
