Hi I'm Daniel

I love life. I live in Montana, work as a General Contractor and enjoy time with my family and the outdoors.

About Me

I'm happily married, have wonderful children, a busy life, and realize that the solid ground in my life comes from my beliefs as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I live in an area where the percentage of LDS people is very low and it seems most of our community knows something about our beliefs, It is common for people in our community to know members of the LDS church and like them, but they wonder how they can be good people and be Mormons. I have been asked that several times, my response has is that I am a good person because of the teachings of our religion, not in spite of our religion.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but through my teenage years I did not appreciate the goodness of the gospel. I had to reach out and look beyond what I had been taught to really understand how I felt about the church. I ultimately decided that logically the Book of Mormon was either a story created by Joseph Smith, or that Joseph Smith was deceived by the devil or it was provided as he said by the gift and power of God. I concluded that Joseph Smith could not of wrote what he wrote on his own, that there is too much good in the Book of Mormon to come from the devil therefore it had to come from God. That is the greatest message on the earth today. The heavens are open and this book is a witness of that truth.

How I live my faith

One day at a time. Knowledge is power, it seems the more I learn in the gospel of Jesus Christ the more I learn there is know. It is very exciting to realize that the heavens are open, revelation is real and the Holy Ghost can and does teach us.

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

Daniel
Attending church builds social relationships, it helps us to serve our fellow men and renew the covenants that we made at baptism and be cleansed of our sins through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Attending the temple is a great opportunity for us to contemplate the eternal nature of man. To realize that there order in God's Kingdom and that there is a purpose to our life. Attending the temple gives me a desire to follow the example of our Saviors life in every respect. Show more Show less
