Hi I'm Martin Isaksen

I'm an active learner and optimizer. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family with three siblings and two wonderful parents. We moved several times when I was growing up, I graduated from BYU, and now I am working as a database developer. I enjoy learning about everything and using those experiences to improve myself and things around me. Through my experiences I have come to better understand how wonderful life can be. I look forward to many more years of learning and serving.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home. My parents taught me growing up, but that is not why I am Mormon. The reason I am a Mormon is because I have a personal witness and testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) is the church established by Jesus Christ. There have been many experiences in my life that have proven to me that it is true. I have not found any other place that is able to provide so many answers about God and life.

How I live my faith

An important thing that the Mormon Church teaches is to apply the things that Jesus taught. That is why I try to follow His example by serving others. I try to serve in planned and unplanned ways. The world is in need of people willing to give a helping hand.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Martin Isaksen
Mormons believe that baptism is important for salvation. Baptism is the submersion of the whole body in water. This sacred act or ordinance is performed by someone who is called by God. The person who is baptized makes promises to God. Through obedience to these promises (covenants) we receive great blessings. Show more Show less
