Hi I'm Tino

I LOVE being MORMON!!!

About Me

I'm 26 years old. I'm married to a sweetheart of a man. We've been married 6 years. No kids, just yet, but that's ok. I was born in California and raised in Utah. In 2008, my husband and I made a move to Louisiana, and it's been a wonderful experience. I work for a couple in my ward, and they've opened up their homes and hearts to me. I manage the office for their company, and it's been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've learned and grown so much in the last 2 years, and I'm thankful for all the opportunities that cross my path.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a third-generation Mormon. I was taught by my grandparents and parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, friends, about the wonderful things of this Gospel. My knowledge grew in this Gospel. After a few years of grief and turmoil, I sought out the truth for myself and knew that what I was searching for, I had all along. I'm Mormon because I know that the LDS church is true. I know that what the Church promotes as a whole and inspired counsel we receive from leaders in the Church, if followed, will help us to find our way to a happier path. I'm Mormon because I know who I am, why I'm here, and where I'm going.

How I live my faith

I attend meetings every Sunday. It's 3 hours. Seems like a long time, aye? Well, it's the best 3 hours out of the 168 in my week. I learn from several different teachers, and I learn something new each Sunday, or maybe a new way to try something. It gives me strength to make it through the next week. I pray every morning and night. I try to have daily scripture study. I work with the cub scouts, so I try to stay conscience of the example I may set, so the kids don't question any decisions that I may make.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

I receive answers to my prayers. Sometimes when I read, it's something that I've been thinking about and I know that it's the tender mercies of the Lord who enlightens me. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. We should have faith in our Prophet today, who is Thomas S. Monson, all the way down to our local leaders. And we should also have faith in ourselves. That we can do better and be better. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is the "most correct book of any book on earth." It is the account of the inhabitants of the Americas. It was written by prophets of old, for us today. It gives the account of the Savior visiting the Americas after he was resurrected. To me, the Book of Mormon helps me to maintain my faith. Daily scripture study allows me to draw closer to the Lord and receive personal inspiration from its words. Show more Show less
