Hi I'm Sami Dara

I grew up in Ohio. I am a Marketing Specialist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 24 years old. I'm half Cambodian. I'm a wife and mother of one. I'm a Designer and enjoy playing the guitar, and running.

Why I am a Mormon

I think my conversion story started when I was in middle school. I did grow up in the church but my family didn't attend regularly. So even though I was baptized at 8 I never knew much about the faith. My parents were divorced when I was 12 years old. It was very difficult and I was bitter throughout my teenage years. My mother became a single mother and was hardly home from all the jobs she worked. My father got remarried and they had more children together. I felt alone, lost and forgotten. I questioned alot of things. My faith gave me a reason to stay positive. It gave me a reason to feel loved. I knew I had a Heavenly Father who cared for me and I trusted in him. Throughout my life my religion has guided me. I feel strength when I pray and read the scriptures. I feel peace when I attend church. I feel joy when I go to the temple with my husband. This religion brings happiness to my life.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher for the young people of our Church. I teach the Sunbeams and they are 3-4 years old. It can be a challenge getting them to sit down and listen to a lesson. They are very spirited, and they are a joy to teach.
