Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Stephanie and I am a health care aid. I am planning on going back to college in the near future. My hobbies are music, writing and art. I have ADHD--basically meaning sometimes I have a hard time paying attention. which never makes life dull.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I am a member is not to do with my family so much. I mean, yes I was born "Mormon". The real reason I am here is because it makes me happy. To know what Jesus Christ has done for me. To know that through him I can be made clean. To know that there is a Father in Heaven who loves me. It makes me happy to know I am not here because of some accident. I love this church and all it stands for. I love knowing I am the daughter of a great king who created the beauty of this world. I love how this church believes in family, to spend time together and become happier.

How I live my faith

Currently I teach sunday school which is the second portion of our sunday meetings. I teach young adults. I also do something called visiting teaching which is where we teach women a special message once a month and visit with them. I really enjoy this part of my church. I do basic services for people like help them with their english or cook them meals. I try to be helpful.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Stephanie
The Word of Wisdom is simply a health code. It tells people what to put into their body that is good such as grains, fruits and veggies. It also speaks of how to eat a little meat between meals. The second thing it speaks of is about the things not to put into ones body. Not to smoke or drink...as both do damage to ones body. It also speaks about not drinking hot liquids--or rather tea and coffee. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Stephanie
Joseph Smith was a man who was looking for an answer from God and recieved that answer. Joseph truly wanted to know what church to join. Due to his faith, he was given the opprotunity to see God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. Due to this vision and many like it, Joseph Smith was able to recieve pieces that have been missing from other churches for centuries. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Stephanie
The church truly believes in love. In men and women being together for all eternity. I too am a firm believer in this. Men and women come together to learn how to become an eternal partnership. One is never truly without the other. Homosexuality, derives from this goal. It means that a family cannot be achieved through natural causes. No, it does not mean I do not love everyone equally. I have people who are quite close to me that practice homosexual behaviours. However, at the same time, I cannot say it is part of God's immediate plan. Show more Show less
