Hi I'm Elizabeth

I grew up in Canada. I am a University Student. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have grown up in the church my whole life and have felt the blessings that come from doing that. I am currently going to University to obtain a degree in Music Education and am loving every minute of it! I love music whether I am playing, singing, or listening to it. I love going on adventures and living life to it's fullest with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church my whole life and have been blessed to have parents that taught and encouraged me to live by its principles. As a reached my teenage years I began to really question why I went to church . . . was it really for me or was it just because i wanted to keep my parents happy? I knew that when I went to church I felt at ease and it was a safe place where I could learn and grow. I began to search the scriptures more diligently and read the Book of Mormon through again so I could really feel of what the gospel could bring to me. This continued for a few months and I didn't really feel any big revelation or answer hit me. It wasn't until I bore my testimony in a meeting that I received my answer. It didn't come to me in a grand or shocking manner. It came through the quiet whisperings of the spirit and by saying my testimony out loud, confirming that I had always known this was where I was supposed to be and the doctrines found here were true. I may not have the most exciting or life changing moment of conversion but for me it was what I needed to know. I am so thankful for this church and the light it brings to my life. I am able to develop a relationship with my Saviour and have his guidance in my life daily as long as I allow him to do so. I continue to learn everyday and strive to become more like the Lord everyday. I know that as I live righteously I will be able to return to him and experience true happiness in this life and the one to come.

How I live my faith

I believe that any faith is nothing without actions. That is why I strive to be an example and disciple of Christ everyday. When I am doing the things that I know are right I know that I am much happier and am blessed in ways that I can't even imagine. Right now I also get to work in the YSA-I Presidency and I love my calling! The YSA of the church have such an energy and spirit to them that they bring to everything they do and everyone around them. I have met so many amazing people and have grown as an individual myself. I love my faith and I love to share it with others!

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes! That is one of the greatest joys the church can bring to this earth life and the one to come. The promise that you and your spouse can be together with your family in the eternities is a blessing that I cannot wait to have. We believe that through the Priesthood keys that have been restored on the earth families can be sealed together in the temple. I know that if we live righteously and always strive to live the commandments we will have the opportunity to live with our families in the eternities. Show more Show less
