Hi I'm Jerry

Throughout my life I have worked as a logger, truck driver, forester and manager. To relax I like to fish and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

At the time of writing this profile I am a 63 year old father of nine children and grandfather of 21. My wife Joanne and I met in grade school and were married after I graduated from high school. I joined the church shortly after we were married and in August of 1970 we were sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. That means we were married again, this time by one having the authority from God to make our marriage eternal. I am recently retired as a forester and manager of timberland for a large timber company. My wife and I live in Northwest Montana and enjoy the forested mountains. We are looking forward to serving a mission beginning in September of 2015. We have been called to serve in the Philippines Manila mission. This is something we have been looking forward to for many years and are eager to begin to serve the Lord full time.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church because I believed my wife and wanted the calm assurance she and her family had of God and Jesus Christ. Since then through obedience and serving others my testimony of the gospel has grown until I am assured that the church is guided by a prophet of God and Jesus Christ is my savior.

How I live my faith

I try to be obedient and conduct myself in a manner that allows the spirit to guide my life. I know however that as a mortal I am imperfect and fall far short of being like Christ. This helps me rely on the Savior and I'm thankful for His grace and atoning sacrifice.
