Hi I'm Dulce

I am a wife, a mom, a biologist, and a graduate student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two wonderful girls (14 yrs old & 2 years old) and a 4-month-old handsome baby boy. I am fond of web pages with "Mormon" on them. I also keep in touch with old friends, classmates, and Mormons from other places. Right now I am enrolled at a university, taking up my PhD.

Why I am a Mormon

I was in search of the true Church way back in the '90s when I was in college (without having an idea of what is a "true" church). When the missionaries visited some of my friends, I had a glimpse of their visual aids while giving a lesson about Lehi's Dream. It just dawned on me that this is what I've been looking for. The feeling was so strong that I asked the missionaries to return the very next day and teach me everything! I was so hungry for knowledge about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Jesus's gospel. After diligently studying with the missionaries, I was baptized on my birthday, five weeks after I gave my time to listen to the gospel. I feel so blessed to belong to this one true Church. This is where I learned about things that are essential to me as a person like fellowshipping, budgeting, homemaking, gardening and a lot more! That is on top of the spiritual blessings that I received as a faithful member. I easily forgive unlike before. I look forward in going to the temple for I will be able to renew my covenants with the Lord. I would like my children to grow in the Church also. I know that Jesus Christ is living and He and Heavenly Father loves as very much. Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God as well as President Thomas S. Monson. I know that by being faithful, we will all go back in God's presence. I say these in Jesus's name, amen.

How I live my faith

I am a Sunday School teacher and I really enjoy participating in all classes especially in the Relief Society, a class for moms and 18-yr-olds and above. I pray a lot and goes to Church with my family regularly. We hold family counseling during a family home evening to keep track of everyone's daily concerns.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Everything around us tell me that there is God. The complex but orderly arrangement of the Universe. The beauty of the human body. These are but some of the simple proofs that there is a God. Man alone cannot do these things. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Tremendous blessings! Number one is peace. Number two is knowledge and guidance. Number three is inspiration to do what is right. Nothing compares to these blessings. Show more Show less
