Hi I'm Anthony

Born and Raised in North East of England, living in Beautiful Wales, I'm a Senior Business Manger and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are proud parents of four children, before my mission I was a fully qualified Chef and after my mission I wanted to further my education, after I finished Uni I decided to work in the telecoms industry and I have been a Senior Business Manager for the UK's largest network for the past 3 Years, I love what i do, meeting new people collaborating and bringing new services that can change companies for the better Also been around new technology and the fast pace digital world we live in feeds my inner geek .. Growing up in the north east sport especially football, is major part of life we are very passionate when it comes to sports and living in wales makes me feel at home with similar passionate people Food is still a passion of mine and everyone who knows me knows that I love putting on a good get together, I love how food brings people together and to see someones delight when they enjoy your food puts a huge smile on my face, also playing golf, football , rugby and clay pigeon shooting and going on some amazing walks around our beautiful area are some of my favorite past times

Why I am a Mormon

I guess through experiences in life had brought me to a point where i wanted my own answers from God my purpose in life , if there is one etc Having a witness from god that he knows you , loves you and has a plan for you is a wonderfully feeling Speaking to my Heavenly Father strengthens me and motivates me to live up to the promises God has for me and family so we can be an eternal family the gospel gives me that assuarace and knowledge along with peace and happiness that nothing in this world could offer

How I live my faith

You have the normal response of reading scriptures, praying going to church but for me personally I guess mostly through serving others wether its my family or friends but truly giving of yourself and doing what Christ would do, As a father of four children I am always cautious of the example I am setting them,as we give service in church, members work full time and give of there free time to a church calling but its all about priorities, the Gospel teaches that the family is central to God's Plan , so my wife and I have to plan effectively each week to ensure that my wife and children get good quality time with there Husband and Daddy As Councilor on the Bishopric I am there to support the Bishop in his duties, by conducting many meeting's. interviews and planning church services and activities, visiting members in their homes and supporting the youth in our local church

What is a ward/stake/branch?

They are places were we get refuge in the world we live, the ward is your local place to worship, a place where we visit with friends to teach , learn and share our feelings of the restored Gospel A Stake is a geographic area that covers typically 5-10 wards , we meet regularly to have enriching activities that cultivate a desire to become better people. Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

A person who is baptised already has a knowledge and understanding about Christ, Heavenly Father and the plans of happiness As Baptism is a requirement for all of us to return to God We have a loving Father in Heaven who wants us all to have the chance to return to him it would not be fair nor just for God not to give everyone that lived the chance to hear the gosple, we perform proxy baptisms in the hope that the ordinance we perform will be accepted by the person who we perform it for in the spirit world (the place where the spirit goes when the body dies) We do it becasue we have a desire that our ancestors have that chance so they can be a eternal familiy with us Show more Show less
