Hi I'm Becky

I am a PTA President a Cub Scout leader. I have a wonderful husband and five children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married woman with five children. I have a Bachelors Degree in Zoology and a teaching credential. Before I was married I served a mission for my church in Colorado. I am now a stay at home mom and I love it. I love volunteering in my kids schools and in the community. I am currently the PTA President at my daughters middle school. I am also a Cub Scout leader. I enjoy crafts, especially scrapbooking. I am always trying to find time to squeeze in exercize. I very much enjoy going on dates with my husband. He is my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the love I have for our Savior. He is my redeemer. I am so grateful for what he has done for me. I have been blessed as I live the teachings found in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. As I read the Book of Mormon I feel an overwhelming feeling of peace. I don't know many other people outside my church that has the same happiness and peace that I have in my life. As I have studied the life of Joseph Smith and prayed to know if he was a prophet I can not deny the calm happy feeling I get. The words of the prophets since Joseph Smith have also penetrated my heart. I know in my heart that God has given us prophets today. I know when I listen to their words and follow their teachings that they are consistent with what the bible teaches. I also know that I am happier when I keep the commandments. I am a Mormon because with all my heart I know that God speaks to his prophets and that he chose Joseph Smith to be a prophet and each succeeding prophet in his church as well. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because the Holy Ghost has testified to me as I have read it over and over again.

How I live my faith

Each day I strive to live my faith by reading my scriptures and praying that I will be guided to help serve my fellowman. With that as my foundation I attempt to serve in my children's schools. I volunteer on our city's Citizen Corps. I am very active in Cub Scouts. Every week I have an opportunity to help young boys learn skills that will help them grow into men. The biggest way I try to live my faith is by being the best wife and mother that I can be. I have five busy children. One of my children has autism. Although there are challenges that come with this, I am filled with happiness as I watch him succeed. My three other boys and my daughter also occupy my time in many happy ways. We love to build things and play games. We are masters at making messes and we are working on becoming masters of cleaning up as well. My husband is my best friend. I am trying to be the best support and help to him as I can.
