Hi I'm Nate

I love my Savior Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am currently studying English Literature at University. I love to play sports, especially Basketball and Soccer. I speak German and loved the time that I was able to spend in Bavaria and Austria. I am currently working as a tutor for multiple subjects.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I never really knew for myself that it was true until after I graduated from high school. As a freshman in University I was on my own and had to start relying on myself, rather than my parents. It was in this time that I found my Savior Jesus Christ and the love that he has for me and for all his children. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ I was able to know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know this with certainty. I am a Mormon because I am a son of God and this is his Church.

How I live my faith

I currently serve on the Service Committee in my ward. Every week I have the opportunity to help out at the State Mental Hospital, escorting patients to and from sacrament meeting. This is a very powerful introspective experience. I live my faith through service, keeping the commandments, and providing an example for others to see how the gospel can help in the lives of every single person. It is never too late to come unto Christ!

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Nate
The temple is the literal house of God on earth. It has been built for Him and only those who are pure and worthy are allowed to enter. Every worthy Latter-Day Saint is allowed to enter into the temple. The inner-workings of the temple are not secret, but sacred. In the temple we make sacred covenants with the Lord, making special promises that we will keep throughout our lives. The temple is a place of calmness and introspection where one can receive personal inspiration. We in turn perform the covenants and ordinances for those that are dead. We act in their place so that they can also receive the blessings of the temple. Our ancestors are eagerly waiting in the Spirit World for their temple work to be performed. That is why it is so important for us to strive to be worthy of the blessings of the temple; it is not only for ourselves, but for others as well. Temple work is the most supernal act of service that one can provide. It brings the blessings of exaltation. Show more Show less
