Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a new dad, a soon-to-be lawyer, and a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have a little boy that amazes us constantly. I'm a third-year law student, starting a career in a medium-sized California law firm next year. I'll watch anything on ESPN, and I'll play any sport (but I love playing basketball the most). I wish the Harry Potter series wasn't over.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. When it was time to leave for college, however, I realized that I had to decide if I really knew that the religion of my family was true. I read the Book of Mormon, I prayed, I made the church a bigger part of my life than it had been before. By the end of that first year of college, I knew that I could never find anything that made me happier than being a Mormon, nor could I find any other way to live life as fully as I could as a Mormon. I've never wavered since.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, read from the scriptures with my family, and try to teach our little boy about Jesus Christ. I visit other members of my church to get to know them better and help out if anyone is in need.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Mormons believe that the purpose of this life to become more like God, our Father. Our Father in Heaven knows that we make mistakes, so he sent his Son Jesus Christ to make forgiveness possible. We live every day trying to be better, trying to learn and grow in ways that will make us happier, all the while knowing that we depend on Christ to make us whole. Show more Show less
