Hi I'm Braydan

I'm a geotechnical engineer. I live in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a geotechnical engineer. I spend my free time with my wife and two kids. We enjoy camping, climbing, and exploring the mountains in the Pacific Northwest. I have climbed Mount Rainier two times, Mount Baker two times, and several other peaks in the Cascades.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family. When I was younger I didn't think the church was very important, but have always believed the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. As I grew older I realized what it means to have faith and now the church is a focal point in my life. I believe that Joseph Smith spoke to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ face to face when he was a young boy. I believe that the Book of Mormon is a true record of the Native Americans and that it truly testifies of Jesus Christ. I believe that through the Savior we can return to live with God. I believe that the Temple ordinances allow me to live with my family forever with God. I believe that the church has been a great blessing for me and my family.

How I live my faith

I have spent the previous 4 years working with the young men. I now work with the full-time missionaries and help to coordinate their efforts with the missionary efforts of our ward. I love teaching lessons to people beginning to learn about the gospel. Being a member of the church requires true faith, which means hard work and time. The time I spend serving others as a member of the church has been well invested. Serving others brings purpose and happiness to my life.

Who are the Mormons?

Braydan
Mormons are all around you. Mormon is a nickname for the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or LDS. Mormons are Christians who love God and Jesus Christ. Mormons believe that their church is the same church that Jesus Christ organized when he was on the earth. Mormons are committed to their faith and work together to prepare, lead, and teach each other every Sunday. Mormons believe that their church is lead by a prophet of God just as Peter lead the church after Christ was resurrected. The prophet speaks to God and guides the church. Mormons believe that by not drinking alcohol, coffee, or tea they are learning to master self control. Show more Show less
