Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a Wife, a Mom to 3 children, a Digital Scrapbooking Designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to an amazing man who is a wonderful husband and provider for our little family. We have three beautiful healthy children, two girls, and one boy. My family is extremely important to me, and I dearly love my husband and my sweet children. My husband works hard so that I can stay home with our young children. I am able to work from home as a Digital Scrapbooking Designer so I am able to be with my kids while doing a hobby that I love-- digital scrapbooking. My other hobby and passion is family history and genealogy. If I'm not creating digital scrapbooking kits or pages, I'm earnestly searching for family and ancestors. I graduated from college, served a mission for the Church to Thailand Bangkok, and worked until I met and married my husband in my 30s. We had a late start having kids, and had three little ones in 4 years time, my last at age 39. We know we are so blessed to have them, each so healthy and beautiful. In addition to loving my husband and children. I also love my extended family, my country, and most of all my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, meaning my parents were already Mormons and took me to this church from the time I was born. But as I grew older, I knew I must find out for myself whether I should continue being a Mormon or not. I did this by reading the Book of Mormon, and praying about it to know for myself if was true or not. I prayed earnestly for my answer. I received the strong, powerful feeling that it was true. I know without one doubt that there is a God in heaven, we call our Heavenly Father. I know that I am His child, a daughter of God. I know HE loves ME! And I love Him. I know that I can pray to Him anytime, anywhere and He is listening. I know that his son, Jesus Christ, lives. I know He suffered and died for each of us through the atonement, and he was risen again. He Lives! I know that His church was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith on the earth TODAY! That is such GOOD NEWS!! And there is a LIVING prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson who helps and guides us to know of God's will for His children. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love us. And if we repent of our sins, we will return to live with Him someday. We will also be reunited with our families in the next life which is so very extremely important to me. I also know that the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible is the word of God. The Book of Mormon is true. Take the challenge to read it. It is amazing what you will feel and find out just by reading this book and praying about it, earnestly asking for the TRUTH. It will bring you peace and joy to know and follow these truths. And that is why I am a Mormon:)

How I live my faith

I am not perfect, but I do try to live my life according to what we have been taught in my faith, according to the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. I am always talking to my children, ages 5, 3, and 2 about our faith and the things we believe in. Most importantly, I want them to know they are children of God, and He loves them. We also teach them to pray and other principles. And we teach them about our temples and tell them they too can go there someday. And we as a married couple try to attend the temple as often as we can. My husband and I are active in our church ward and community. My husband is the Ward's Mission Leader working with the missionaries and those interested in finding out more about our church. I have a responsibility to help organize meetings for the women in our ward, serving as a counselor in the RS Presidency of my ward, and have the awesome opportunity to teach women in our ward on Sundays on topics in our faith. My two daughters and one son love to attend church every Sunday where they learn more about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and other important things with children of their own ages. They sing songs and color and create things as well. We all look forward to Sunday's activities, but we try to live our faith throughout the week by praying and living the principles we have learned and continue to learn.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

In our beautiful temples, we make promises and covenants and commit ourselves and our lives to God. We are also sealed together as couples and families so that we will be reunited after death and live together forever. We believe that temples are the Lord's holy places, and we know that through them we are so blessed that death is not the end. And that Families are Forever. Also dear to my heart is the work we do for those that have passed on before us. They are able to be sealed together as families even though they died before having the opportunity. Genealogy and family history is my passion! And I love feeling that I am helping my ancestors be sealed to one another because I know their families are just as important to them as they are to me:) Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is a program inspired by the Lord to help His daughters in our day. I actually serve in my ward in the Relief Society presidency. We plan activities and meetings that hopefully teach and help strengthen women in these troubled times in our world. It is a society of women who are truly like sisters to each other as they help each other feel better about themselves, increase faith and personal righteousness, and (importantly) strengthen families and homes. It is also an organization that tries to find those in need and give aid to them. We learn in Relief Society the true value of women in God's eyes. We are truly daughters of God. I really am inspired when I attend Relief Society meetings and hope others are, too. Show more Show less
