Hi I'm Christy

About Me

I grew up in California. I'm a single, twenty-something media professional. I worked on Cruise Ships for five years as a youth counselor and computer instructor. I love to travel. I've visited 44 countries over 5 continents. I was born in the Mormon faith and the more I see of the world and the more experiences I have in my life, the more I come to know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, and the LDS faith is the embodiment of that Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's church.

How I live my faith

Living the Mormon faith is a daily thing. It requires time, effort and diligence on the part of every member. Each member has a "calling" - a job that we do within our congregation. I've had many callings throughout my life. I've taught the youth, led music, taught Sunday School classes and coordinated activities. Each calling gives each person a chance to learn and grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ through giving services to others. So this is how I live my faith. Daily. Through example and service.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

I've often been asked why only some people are allowed into LDS Temples. If it is truly the house of the Lord, why is it not open to everyone? The simple truth is that the Temple IS for everyone. All are invited to "Come unto Christ." All may enter, but first one must be worthy. The Lord has given us all guidelines to live life by. So there are requirements made that we live in accordance with His guidelines before we can enter His house and learn of Him. Show more Show less
