Hi I'm Garth

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a simple man. I love to share everything with my awesome wife. I love life and look forward to each new day to learn, work, serve, and play with family and friends. I seek to be kind to all and helpful to those in need. I enjoy outdoor activities including skateboarding, riding my bike, and hiking. I love music. I play guitar, harmonica, piano, and sing with chiors. I am a college student. I work at an afterschool program and serve snack to the children. I try to remember to thank God for my abundant blessings, His great mercy, and His help in times of hardship.

Why I am a Mormon

I read from the Book of Mormon and as I pondered it's message about Jesus Christ and redemtion from sin and death, I felt a great peace and a burning joy in my heart. The Holy Spirit manifested to my soul that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind. This gave me hope to have a remission of sins and to be happy in this life and after death. Because I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is truly God's kingdom on the earth in these last days, with authority and power to teach the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and administer saving ordinances, beginning with baptism.

How I live my faith

I try to be reverent. I seek things that are good. I keep my thoughts, words, and actions clean. I seek to listen to and understand others and offer whatever knowledge or service that would be helpful or beneficial for them. Striving to contribute to the welfare and happiness of others causes Heavenly Father to pour His blessings upon me. God knows His children, so I try to be sensitive to the still small voice of the Holy Ghost to guide my efforts in serving and teaching. I visit people in their homes or mine, mormon or not, to serve and teach the wonderful teachings of Jesus Christ, the master teacher of true happiness.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The mormon church was started by the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of mankind. He called upon a young man named Joseph Smith and charged him with the mission of establishing and building the kingdom of God on the earth for the last time to prepare all people for the return of Christ to rule in righteousness over all who will obey His commandments. Joseph Smith was given priesthood, which is the power and authority to act in God's name, which is necessary to teach the gospel and administer the ordinances thereof. Show more Show less
