Hi I'm Jason Paul D.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am 21 years old, living in Utah. I was born and raised in the Church. I recently returned from Barcelona Spain after serving a full time two year mission sharing the restored gospel with the Spanish people. I am currently working this summer and will be studying at the University in the Clinical Laboratory Science program to continue my persuits to go to medical school and one day become a doctor. I have a lot of studying and school cut out for me, but that's okay. I like it. I like to run, dance, speak spanish, read, play musical instruments, go hiking, swimming, and the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of Christ on the earth today. I know that we have the proper priesthood authority to baptize people, the same authority that Christ had during his ministry on the Earth. I know that Christ leads and guides this Church today through a living prophet, a man called by God just like Moses or Abraham, in these last days, to guide us. I know it all because I read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and received a spiritual confirmation from God. I can't deny that it is true having received such a confrimation. So... knowing all of this... I am happy to say that I am Mormon because there is a lot of truth, hope, blessings, and promises that go along with that. One specifically is knowing that my family can be together forever after death on this earth.

How I live my faith

I wake up every morning and kneel down to pray and give thanks to my Heavenly Father for helping me, for giving me another day of life, and for my family. I read the scriptures, including the bible and the Book of Mormon every day. I participate in the local Singles ward, or church group where we meet as young single adults ages 18-30 years old to worship together every Sunday. Usually every Thursday evening we have an activity whether it is volleyball, hiking, movie, service, or any other fun social activity to keep things interesting and fun in the ward, or youth group. I just got back from Spain and am getting used to being a normal member in the ward so I still haven't received any kind of responsibilities, but I hope to soon.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jason Paul D.
How can you know whether or not Mormonism is true? Well, first you need to have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and now that He really is your savior and redeemer and wants you to return to His presence in the after life. Knowing that will give you the foundation of faith needed to pray and ask God, our eternal Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, to know whether or not Mormonism is true. The best way to ask God, besides having faith in that He will answer you, is by reading in the Book of Mormon with an sincere heart and true intention to know whether or not it is true. This is how I knew. This is how I know. And I will never forget it because when I asked I received a confirmation from God. I promise that you can do the same. The first step is faith in Jesus Christ. The second step is reading and praying about the Book of Mormon to know if it is true. The third step is searching for an answer, an confirmation from God that comes in many forms. Show more Show less
