Hi I'm Jesse

I work with people. I solve problems and help where I can. I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished school and am working full-time. I studied what I love: Business Management, Organizational Behavior/Human Resources emphasis, and a minor in Family Life. I know it's a mouthful, but the point is that I love people and I love life, so that's what I do. Life in general is just a wonderful experience. Some of my favorite things about this time here on earth are cooking, dancing, bicycle riding, eating, and exploring. Especially the one involving food. I also love to help organize things, serve, and be involved in the lives of people. There are a lot of things that have defined me as a person, including life experience, education, and people. But the thing that has had the most impact on my life is certainly the gospel of Jesus Christ. My life would be nearly unrecognizable without it, and the greatest blessing in my life has been to know that the fullness of the gospel is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I could never deny what I have felt in the deepest parts of my heart about this church, and it has changed my life, and it can change yours too. That is one of the most splendid parts of what I believe in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon and I love it. My mom sat me down before I was baptized and told me the promises that I was making in being baptized, so that she could know if I understood the commitment I was making. I remember talking about how it was a commitment to "always remember him" meaning Jesus Christ. At my young age, I was stunned by the thought of always thinking about Jesus. However, I knew that if that was what God wanted of me, I could do it. I know I haven't been perfect at that commitment, but it has shaped my life in many ways, similar to other principles that I have learned being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am so grateful to God for bringing me into this church. It has meant more than the world to me, and I couldn't be who I am without it. My life has been incredibly blessed. Everyday hasn't been easy, but my life has been worth it, and I am looking forward to the rest of my life for the meaning that it will contain. If you are thinking of joining this church, do it. God will bless you beyond comprehension. If you're not thinking about it, you should. You can be happier. If you are already a member, live the gospel with commitment everyday. God blesses those who have faith in his son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Through the short life that I have lived so far, the thing that I have realized is that it's all about what's on the inside. I believe that some of the most remarkable people that I know of are people who are living their ordinary lives in extraordinary ways, and it's all about what's on the inside. I have a few sisters that are married with kids, for example, and they are perfect examples. They are great examples of selflessly giving and serving for the benefit of others. When I look into the eyes of other friends, it's really obvious that they sincerely care. I try to learn from them how to be. My other source of inspiration is the Savior Jesus Christ and the words of the prophets. I am so grateful to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to be able to learn about his life and his teachings. Everyday I read my scriptures and reflect on how I am doing. Each day and every week I take that opportunity to reflect on how I am doing and what's going on inside of me, because after all, it's about what's on the inside.

What is faith?

Faith in Jesus Christ is the acceptance that in reality, Jesus Christ lives as a resurrected person, and that his teaching are true and sure. As my personal faith has grown, I have realized the great promises that God has made to his people throughout all of the ages, including in these days, and especially to me. I have come to the knowledge that these promises, including receiving guidance and comfort in life, are true. God is true to his word. He loves his children, and you and I are part of his family. Can you imagine? We are all sons and daughters of the universal master, the creator of heaven, earth, and all things in between. He is our father. We can be like him, and receive what he has. I promise to anyone that they can find out that these things are true. For me, my faith has grown over the years through personal experiences receiving answers to my prayers and having my faith swell inside of my soul as a result of testing out the word of God. His words are true. He is our father. This I testify in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. My prayer for you is that you will also come to know and feel what I know and feel. Show more Show less
