Hi I'm Chelsea
I am a mom of a toddler who is pretty wild and crazy. Life is fun and challenging. I major in Family Studies. I love to travel and learn about different religions and cultures.
I was raised in the LDS Church. I am a member because I know of the truthfulness of the gospel which I have been taught and am seeking to become more like Jesus Christ.
We have family home evening nights and enjoy recreational activities together. Our family prays daily and reads scriptures together. We pray for guidance of what we should do in our personal and collective lives to enhance family life.
Using my talents and skills to enrich the lives of others is a very important goal in my life. I have been given the gift, of my singing voice and use it to uplift members and those who are not of our faith. I perform in University, Institute Choir and other community Choirs which enrich the lives of many in our neighborhood and surrounding community. I think that singing and praising my Lord and sharing my testimony through song is a blessing to those who hear the music and to those who perform it. I hope to have the opportunity to perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir when I am a bit older. Proselyting through music has been the most defining and uplifting activity I've had in my life.
The knowledge of the Plan of Happiness, also known as the Plan of Salvation- has helped me greatly throughout my life. I know that Families are Forever. And our relationships can extend past this Mortal Realm and last for eternity. My belief in this comforting Doctrine was challenged at the age of 18. My parents decided to Divorce, challenging everything they've ever taught me about how Families Can Be Together Forever. This time in my life was extremely challenging and heartbreaking. My Testimony wavered and I had a hard time attending church. However, I was able to repent, after time, of my shortcomings and come back to the majesty of repentance from my Savior, Jesus Christ. The Joy of Repentance is amazing. I felt the love of my Heavenly Father and My Savior through the Power of the Holy Ghost- as I fervently repented; and actively tried to change my life. I was married in the Holy Temple and I have a little boy now who I know is eternally bound to me and my eternal companion. My Testimony of Forever Families, has been strengthened and nurtured through the reading of the Book Of Mormon, family togetherness, church attendance and the fulfilling and service in church calllings and Family Home Evenings. I now have relationships with both my parents and my step family as well- and I know God is a God of love and Understanding. He wants our Families to be together and to be happy. I know that my loved ones who have died after being baptized in the church, will be able to see me again after this life. The knowlege of the Plan of Happiness is very comforting in times of sorrow. It gives me and my family an eternal perspective of peace.
I try to be a good citizen in my state and country and respect all others opinions even when I don't agree with them. Every person has a divine right to worship how, where or what they may. I deeply respect that right- and love to learn about other religions and cultures with an open mind. I have a deep conviction towards the LDS Faith, and my Testimony of its divinity is very pure and special to me. I know it is true. In the LDS Church, I teach the 4 year old's in Primary, they are called Sunbeams- and I love learning from them as I teach. I also enjoy singing the Primary Songs with them. I also assist with the Scout Program as a Scout Assistant to the Bears and the Wolves. I am getting excited for my son to join Scouts, in about 2 years.
