Hi I'm Steve

I'm a financial analyst, a wanna be tennis player, a dabbling musician, and a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Midwest and am the third of six children in my family. I love sports and music. I grew up playing basketball and listening to rock n' roll. Now, I love all types of music and try to write a little of my own. I play guitar and try to rap despite the fact that my street cred is pretty low. I graduated from college in 2010 and recently completed two years of service as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am currently working as a financial analyst at an accounting firm in Washington, DC.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Honestly, it has provided an answer for every major question I've had about life. Many passages of the book provide specific and personal direction for my life. I always find exactly what I need when I need it and I know that only an all-knowing God could have provided such a resource. Living in accordance with what is taught in the Book of Mormon and Holy Bible has brought a happiness and sense of peace into my life that was previously unknown to me. I know that those feelings are blessings from God living the way He asks us to. The Book of Mormon is my personal proof that God and His son Jesus Christ exist and that they love us. It has become my instruction manual for happiness.

How I live my faith

I work together with individuals in our local congregation that are assigned look out for the spiritual and physical welfare of all the members of the congregation. We organize efforts for members to visit each family or individual in our congregation at least once a month to teach, inspire, and meet help meet their needs.
