Hi I'm Alejandro

Im a basketball player, Im a full-time missionary in Boston, Im from houston Texas and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im currently a missionary for the church. I was born in Mexico but I grew up in Texas. My dad was recruited to work in Texas so we had to move and I didn't speak the language so it was hard for me. It took me about 6 months to learn it and get used to the culture, but it all worked pretty well! I grew up with two older sisters and wonderful parents! I love playing sports, specifically basketball. Im the kind of person that will try anything to develop any talents that Heavenly Father has given me. I want to take piano and singing lessons someday. I love my family. I like math, so I think I will major in either architecture (I like drawing) or any engineering field. I like going to the gym. I like to cook me some delicious breakfasts. I can't wait to be a father and husband some day and to teach my children the gospel!!! I love church!!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is everything to me. I don't know where I would be without it! The beautiful thing about it is that you can always progress, learn, apply and live it! I grew up as a mormon but it was more like a habit to go to Church with my parents, until I was around 17. That was around the age that I had trials, temptations, and friends that peer pressured me into doing things not in harmony with what I was taught. Thats when I started asking myself if I believed and was willing to live what I had been taught since I was born. I knelt down and prayed with all my heart to my Heavenly Father if what I had heard all my life about the gospel of Jesus Christ was true. I kept fighting to keep the commandments and do what I was taught so I knew with all my heart that the gospel was real. What a blessing it is from God to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints. It has kept my family together and strong, and helps me everyday to strengthen my faith in my Savior Jesus Christ. Save Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith has helped mankind the most by having the faith and courage to restore the true church of Christ. It wasn't easy but he knew deep in his heart that it was true and he never denied it. I love the book of mormon, it has strengthened me by seeing the examples of faithful men in the Americas who followed the commandments of Jesus Christ and knew that if they did keep the commandments of God, they would prosper in the land!! Being a Mormon is a Gift!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being on a mission!!! As you understand the Atonement or sacrifice of Christ and his gospel you want to share it with everyone else! I live my faith by praying each day to receive guidance from Heavenly Father so that I can make the right choices! I live my fatih by loving others and willingly serving them! Each day I try to apply the attributes of Christ so that I can become a better person!

What do Mormons believe about family?

Alejandro
Family is everything to Heavenly father! Family is everything to me! God created families so that we could be happy! As I reflect on all the times in my life that I was really happy, it was always because of my family! God has promised that if we obey all his commandments until the end of our lives, we can be with our families forever! Which means never-ending happines! And that's what God really wants for us, to have joy! I love my family with all my heart, I will do anything to be with them after this life! I can't wait to have my own family and teach them everything I have learned through my mistakes, my accomplishments, my mission experiences, and living the gospel of Jesus Christ! It will be a blessing to have a wife and kids one day! That's what true happiness is, Family! Show more Show less

What is faith?

Alejandro
Faith is not just believing there is a God and a Savior! Faith means that we are willing to do the things that they command, even if we don't understand why. Faith is not believing God can, faith is knowing God will. Faith is knowing something is true without seeing it. Its like the wind, we can't see it but we can feel it! Faith is action, faith is hoping good things will happen! Faith is knowing that God and Jesus Christ love you so much that you wouldn't do anything to make them sad! Faith is most importantly believing in yourself!  Show more Show less
