Hi I'm Cathy

I'm from Michigan and love my family! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The greatest joy in my life has come from being a wife, mother and now grandmother. Through these experiences I am learning how to really love and care for others. I have learned that loving others is the most important part of life, people matter. I have been given many opportunities to become educated, work as a registered nurse, teach, volunteer in the public school system and serve in the church. I have a great interest in health and nutrition and recently started a small baking business and sell fresh, nutritious muffins at Farmers Markets. Each experience enriches my life.

Why I am a Mormon

30 years ago an awesome couple invited me into their home and shared the gospel with me, it changed my life. I had been taught in a loving Catholic home about Jesus Christ and His teachings. Becoming a Mormon added upon what I already knew in a profound way. Becoming a Mormon didn't take away my challenges but it taught me I can change, be forgiven and become anything I set my mind to. I am a Mormon because I believe with all my heart in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Book of Mormon has become a miracle book for me, every time I read it I learn things that help me in whatever life situation I am in. I have been shown time and time again that obeying the teachings of Jesus Christ brings joy and blessings and possibilities. I am a Mormon because it's the way I feel closest to my Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to show love to my family by keeping in close contact, listening and praying for them. At present all our children and grandchildren live in different states. I am always planning my next trip to visit. I show love to my husband by cooking for him and listening to his day, we study the scriptures together and nurture our relationship. I work in the community at Farmers Markets. I spend a lot of time talking with the community and vendors about things that are important to them. I serve with college age students planning dinners, dances, service projects and sharing my love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It fills me up to spend positive time with others, whether at home, in the community or at church.
