Hi I'm Lafe

I am a grateful husband. A proud father.Loyal friend. A dental specialist. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy the time I get to be with my little family.

Why I am a Mormon

Families can be together forever. I grew up in a home with a very loving father and mother. They taught us the gospel of Jesus Christ. My parents are Mormons. From an early age they taught through their actions and words that there was nothing greater than following the gospel of Jesus Christ. They read the Book of Mormon and Bible with us. They had us pray as a family together. The greatest thing my father ever did for myself and his family was love our mother. They were happy and I wanted that happiness. I wanted what they had. They were and are devout Mormons. With that foundation I had a great desire to know for myself that being a Mormon is what God wanted me to do. We were taught from an early age that families' relationships are eternal. I am the youngest of four; however, my parents had seven children. They had three baby girls pass away shortly after birth. One before I was born and two after I was born. But I always was taught and felt families could be together forever. I know I will see my three sisters again someday. This is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Prayer. I am a child of God. I know I have a Heavenly Father that loves me. I wanted to know which church was true, if any. So I asked God, my Heavenly Father, vocally in prayer if what I was hearing was true. I felt something I can not deny. I heard in my heart and mind an undeniable voice that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom on earth. It was a soft, pure, comforting answer. Undeniable. And with that answer came a vast amount of truth. We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. Jesus is the Christ. This is His church. Family relationships can continue into eternity. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. The power of God, the priesthood, has been restored.

How I live my faith

I try to be a great husband and father. I spend time with my family. I strive to be kind to everyone in thought, word and action. I spent two years as a Mormon missionary in Australia. I study and ponder the scriptures. I pray to my Heavenly Father. I pray with my wife and as a family to our Heavenly Father. I go to church every week. I go to the temple with my wife. Following the gospel of Jesus Christ requires consistency. However, when I mess up or sin, I repent and change. I try to accept the healing power of Jesus Christ. All of this brings a peace of mind that no matter what comes, I know Heavenly Father loves all of us and He is in charge. If I am living the way I should be then there is nothing that can happen to me that is not a blessing.
