Hi I'm Mary

I am a costume designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah in a family of 6 children. I learned to sew at a very young age and have loved it ever since. I received an associates and Bachelors degree in Theater Arts with Costume design as my emphasis. I later got into designing and making wedding gowns. I married a very handsome Texan man! Together we enjoy playing miniature golf, Wii sports, watching movies, and building businesses.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because after reading the Book of Mormon and living the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I have felt close to my Father in Heaven and peaceful about the way I conduct my life and affairs. I'm a Mormon because attending church, obeying the living prophet, and spending time with my family have brought more love, peace, and joy to my relationship with my husband, parents, siblings, and friends. I'm a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has insights into the purpose of life, what happens after death, and what happened before we were born that no other church has.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by studying the scriptures, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I live my faith by serving in my community, in my congregation, and in my family. I live my faith by trying to forgive others and living the way Christ would want me to live. I live my faith by keeping myself sober, honest, and chaste. I live my faith by choosing entertainment that is virtuous, lovely, of good report, and praiseworthy. I live my faith by continually seeking for knowledge of the Gospel of Christ, by helping others, and by keeping the commandments.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mary
Mormons have a strong desire to be happy and joyful. We attend church each Sunday in order to better understand Heavenly Father's plan for us and to help us better keep the commandments. We love our families very much and believe that the family is central to Heavenly Father's plan for us. Mormons abstain from coffee, tea, and tobacco. We strive to live honest and chaste lives. We strive to read the scriptures and pray daily as individuals and with our families. We dedicate Monday evenings to Family Home Evening where we read scriptures, share our testimonies, and have fun as a family. Show more Show less
