Hi I'm Crystal
I am a wife and mother to three children living the college life again, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I grew up in a small town in northern Arizona. My parents were divorced and so I have had multiple parents growing up. I chose to make the best of it and look back on my experiences with many different living circumstances as a good thing. I learned that there are many ways to do things in life and that it is wise to take the best of our experiences and leave the rest behind. I met and married my childhood crush and we have been married for almost 12 years. A happy marriage is possible! My husband is currently a full-time student and we are enjoying our adventure through school. One of our daughters was born with a cleft lip and palate. We have been so blessed to have her in our life.
Why I am a Mormon
I was raised as a Mormon, but for a period of time while living with one of my parents, I did not attend church. As a teenager I began to attend church again and it was then during the most challenging years of my life that I found the peace that is part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My family life became bearable as I learned more about my Savior and his plan for me. I found joy in serving whereas before I was just focused on myself. I came to know that I am truly a daughter of God, and that he knows and cares about me. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time and knew that it was truly the word of God. My circumstances did not change much, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gave me a new direction and new hope for my life. Today I continue follow this gospel and it has blessed my life immensely. We still have our challenges, but we are able to navigate through our problems and make the most of our circumstances.
How I live my faith
I help teach the children in our congregation. Our children are so important, and I feel it a privilege to be able to serve them. My own children have been such great example of service too. They see what I do, and they are the first ones to step up to help. I know that this will help them when they are parents and leaders themselves.
