Hi I'm Joni Wintch

I am a mom trying give all my energy to my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 3 with one on the way. I love photography and digital scrapbooking. For now family life keeps me pretty busy. I enjoy raising our young children and feel like I can really make a difference in the world by teaching my children to work hard and be kind to others.

Why I am a Mormon

My family for generations has been members of the LDS church. So, when I was growing up I went because it was a part of my culture. When I got out on my own I stopped attending church because I wasn't sure that I believed the doctorines or if I was just going along with the people close to. I decided that I would experiment on the words of Christ, as presented in Mormon Doctorine and see if it really did lead to peace and joy. My plan was to move on to a different faith if I didn't find true happiness. Well, that was seven years ago and things have just been getting better and better. Each year when I look back I am suprised at how happy I am. Christ, through the enabling power of His atonement, is transforming me into a better wife, mom, and daugther. A better person. I have faith that if this church were not true my loving Heavenly Father would direct me to a more correct path. He would not let an earnest seeker of truth walk a path that does not lead back to Him. I believe with all my heart that this is the one true church on the earth today and that God is personally acquanted with me and my quest to come unto Him.

How I live my faith

I try to everything in my power to be worhty of inspiration. I study the scriptures by myself, with my husband and with our children. I try to teach my kids about Jesus, about His kindness and love for everyone. My calling or job in the church right now is Compassionate Service Leader. I am responsible for corrdinating serivice for women in need. I schedule meals for the sick. I pull together sisters to clean homes or make phone calls or teach skills to help other women in our community. The ladies in our ward are all so eager to help, my job is pretty easy.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Joni Wintch
We believe the Christ is the Son of God, distinct from God the Father. He came to earth, died, and was resurrected. He is now glorified and alive, and intimately acquainted with the souls of men on earth. He still labors to bring about their salvation. His influence in my life is real and precious. I will never surrender the title of "Chirstian", it is too dear to my heart, to my mind, to all that my life is about. Show more Show less
