Hi I'm Samuel

I am a young Chinese speaking Engineer in training and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old Student from Utah. Right now I am a Missionary for our Church serving in the Australia Melbourne Mission. I have been serving for over a year and a half now and I love every minute. On my free time I like to make model airplane and play lacrosse. I start University in September.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church but I know there is a point between believing for tradition sake and truly being converted. As I grew up I learned right from wrong and I knew I had to be an example of Jesus Christ. When I made a mistake and I wanted to know if everything I believed was true was actually true. I prayed for forgiveness and a confirmation of my belief and I got it in the strongest feeling I have ever had before. I know through the Holy Ghost that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ. Although I am an imperfect person I seek to improve on my mistakes. I want to overcome the many problems that come with living in a world full of things that can hurt us spiritually and physically. That may come down to as basically saying no to smoking or saying "how can I help?" to someone in need.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Samuel
Its simple really. We believe that Christ established his church on the earth during his earthly ministry. That Church included all of his truth and Doctrine. After His death and the death of the Apostles that he ordained to minister, truths were lost. So in the Lords due time the church and all the plain and precious truths that it contained was restored through a living prophet named Joseph Smith. He being like any other prophet called by God. We don't force this knowledge on people, but I would say we invite them to find out it the truth of it themself. The way we find out is through reading the Book of Mormon and asking God.
