Hi I'm LeeAnne

"I'm a silly, sassy mom, wife & friend. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I'm married to my best friend of 22 years, and am the mother of 2 incredible young adults & 1 teenager. I keep busy working with students with disabilities at a local college, taking classes after all these years, and trying to keep up with all of it.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a baby my mother passed away. I love to hear stories about her, and hear I am like her in many ways. I have a great peace that comes from knowing I will see my mother again, embrace her, my sweet angel grandmother and those that have gone on before me. I am thankful to be sealed together with my best friend and children, not just for this life, but for eternity.

How I live my faith

I get up every morning, look at the day and week ahead of me, and know I can do anything with my Heavenly Father's help. I go to church each Sunday, not because I have to, but because I need that lift, that gift I get each week to recharge my Spirit and be a better me. I go to worship service on Sundays, teach Sunday School to the teens in my ward, and try every day to be better than the day before. I know I fall short, I know I am far from perfect, but I do my best and I know that Jesus Christ fills in the gaps after I've done everything I can...I know because he has. I would not be here if he didn't.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

LeeAnne
No. In fact we are encouraged to get out and serve others no matter the religion. Several years ago there was a terrible flood in our area. Homes, cars, and livestock were washed away as the raging river swept through the community. Mormons from all over the country came to help scrape mud from homes, recover property and re-build lives...all at Christmas time. We stood, side by side, giving hugs, feeding families, giving/washing clothing, and helping fix homes...with Catholics, Baptist, Athiests and many other religions. Our children even donated their Christmas gifts to another family for the Holiday. We help all...it's what Christ would do. We can be his hands. Show more Show less
