Hi I'm Denis

I am a son, brother, uncle, twin, musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I am a convert to the church and have been baptized about 7 years ago. I have been playing piano for 14 years and I continue to play piano when I get a chance to play. I also play the electric bass and the guitar, not very well. I have also played the violin for 4 years. When I was 16 years old, I had a big decision in my life. I had entered my sophomore year of highschool, and felt that something wasn't right. I had thought a long time about what I would do for a living. I had decided between pianist and a doctor. I had to choose between dedicate all my time to studies, or to dedicate al my time to study piano. I took a while to think about it, and I decided to withdraw from highschool and return to homeschooling and study piano. I don't know what others think about this decision, but it has been a very blessed decision. I in the following years after taking piano seriously, I have placed in 4 piano competitions. One in 1st, one in 2nd, and two tied for 3rd. I really have felt the promise of the lord. "Behold, thou hast a gift, and blessed art thou because of thy gift. Remember it is sacred and cometh from above-And if thou wilt inquire, thou shalt know the mysteries which are great and marvelous; therefore thou shalt exercise thy gift, that thou mayest find out mysteries, that thou mayest bring many the knowledge of the truth, yea, convince them of the error of their ways".

Why I am a Mormon

My parents had the desire to raise us up in a house where the teachings of God were active. After much trial and error, my parents decided to stop going to church and teach us the way that they were taught. After many years, in 2005 my mom met the Elders. Long story short, we took the lessons, did what the Elders asked, and we were baptized in 2 months. I am greatful for those Elders that have changed the life of my family, and my life forever. I know that the church is true. I have done what the Lord asks of all of his children, and I came to know through the Holy Spirit that the church is true.

How I live my faith

I play the organ in the church. It´s something amazing that I can play an instrument, and help other people have a more spiritual experience in church. Not only that, my Dad is the one that leads the congregation. So, as I am playing the organ, I am enjoying time with my Dad.
