Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in Arizona and attend Stanford University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served my mission in Brazil and fell in love with the people, language, culture and the Gospel. I go to Stanford University in California. I love wakeboarding and snowboarding. I recently got married to the most amazing girl in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I began going to Church with my family when I was little. Soon the time came for me to discover on my own whether this was Christ's Church and whether the authority to act in god's name was once again on the earth. I studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon, expecting an easy answer. It didn't happen like that. It took a lot more fasting and prayer, and finally I realized I had felt good about it all along and already knew it was right. Since then I have witnessed more and more reasons and signs in my life that I had made the right decision. When I got married to my lovely wife this past year in the temple, I felt an undeniable confirmation from God that He has prepared a way for families to live together forever. In every aspect of my life, the Gospel has made all the difference and has ensured lasting happiness even through trials. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

My wife and I recently were asked to teach the twelve and thirteen year-olds in Sunday School. Of course, we gladly accepted. It has been such a great experience learning from these young leaders of tomorrow. They truly inspire us and are constantly looking for ways to help those around them come closer to Christ. I really think I have learned more from them than they have from me. I also get to teach a class for graduating seniors in high school who are preparing to serve as missionaries for the next two years. Having served as missionary myself in Brazil, I know how life-changing the experience can be and I love helping these young men begin to see the big picture of how important it is to help everyone know that Christ lives and has called prophets and apostles in our day.
