Hi I'm Katie

I am a wife, a mother, daughter, sister, farmer, clean freak, worry wort and I am also a... Mormon.

About Me

I am a fun outgoing, sometimes insecure young woman (I refuse to say I'm an old woman!). I'm blessed to be able to stay at home with my sweet prince of a baby boy. Sometimes (most of the time), I'm running around going crazy! I feel most at home when I am on the road driving somewhere...anywhere. I love to travel, however, I have hardly been anywhere. I love to fish, but I hate to touch the worms or the fish. I LOVE to work in my yard, including mowing and digging in my garden. Someday I want my husband and I to be that old couple walking down the street holding hands (those couples ALWAYS make me tear up). I cry over just about everything (I'm a drama QUEEN), especially the cotton commercials. Haha. I have a baby brother, that's not a baby anymore, who is serving a 2 year full time mission. I love him, he is my hero! I am a teacher for the young women in my church and I love it! I love living my childhood all over through them. One day I want to live on a farm and have horses and goats and chickens (you have to have chickens to eat the bugs). I am also a Mormon. :)

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, because it makes me happy. It's as easy as that. Because of my Faith I feel complete all of the time. I don't wonder who I am or where I am going. I know that I am a Daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and I am going to live my life in the most righteous, virtuous way so that I can return to him again with no regrets. I am also a Mormon because I know through the teachings of the plan of salvation that I will be with my family, not just in this life, but also after death through all of Eternity. This principle brings me much peace. Article of Faith number 13: "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."

How I live my faith

I am a teacher or sorts. I teach by example. I attend church on Sunday, teach the youth a lesson on occasion, attend youth group on Wednesdays. These are the motions that I go through, but I truly live my faith by being an example of truth, light, happiness, ambition, honesty, loyalty, integrity, good works, discipline, hard work, self worth, and virtue. I love my life and I love the life that living my faith has allowed me to have.
