Hi I'm Alice

I'm a mother of four, a NICU nurse, a violinist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 3 daughters, and a son. My husband and I have been married for 25 years, and have lived in Texas, Colorado, Maryland, and Utah. I have loved the people and culture and nature in each of the places we have lived, and the fun of exploring new places. We love to travel, and are scuba certified, but now, with 2 kids in college, our spare money goes to help them. I enjoy reading- (especially classics and historical fiction), playing the violin and guitar, and a good game of Scrabble. I am an RN, and love my job caring for babies and their families in the Newborn ICU.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel--it gives security and peace to my life. Obedience to the teachings of Christ, and His living prophets, keeps my family safe from many of the dangers of these times. I look at my four great kids, and the fun and loving relationships we share in our family, and feel so blessed--the gospel's teachings have had a huge influence on our family life, and brought such joy. I can't imagine moving as much as we have without the church--everywhere we have lived, there have been congregations of wonderful people to welcome us, and be our family away from home...they have brought us meals when we were sick, rejoiced with us with each new child, loved and taught our children, worked with them in scouting, and been examples of true Christians to me.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am privileged to work with the young women in our congregation--we have lessons together every Sunday, and fun or spiritual or learning activities every Wednesday evening. It is fun and inspiring to be around their energy, and to see their testimonies grow as they try out the gospel principles and learn for themselves the peace and happiness it can bring to them. I love working with them, but my greatest calling in life is to be a mother, and to nurture and train my own children, and teach them about Christ. Together with my husband, we have found our greatest joy in our home, watching our children grow and progress and become happy, independent, and contributing members of society.
