Hi I'm Laurie Rose

I'm just trying to live life the best way I know how. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah. My husband and I have 4 children from ages 8 to 24. Three boys and a girl. Our beautiful daughter came to us through the miracle of adoption and we became a bi-racial family! We live in a small rural town and have goats in the backyard. I teach piano at an arts academy, and my husband and I are ward missionaries. I love my family, music, animals, family history and indexing, living in the country, hiking in the mountains, laying on a beach. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I know Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, my brother, my friend. I know that through Jesus Christ I can receive peace, courage and strength to face life's daily challenges. I know I am a daughter of God and he loves me. I know there is a prophet living today just like there was in biblical times. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ. Because I know, I choose to actively live what I know.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true to my beliefs, values, and principals no matter where I am, what day it is, who I am with, or who is or isn't watching. I live my faith by trying to always remember Jesus Christ and asking myself "what would Jesus like me to do?" I live my faith by loving my husband and my family, teaching my children, and teaching the young women at church. I live my faith by playing the church organ each Sunday. I live my faith by daily prayer and scripture study. I live my faith by following the prophet. I live my faith by reaching out to the people around me in friendship, kindness, and in service. I live my faith by sharing my beliefs with others. I like to "pay it forward!"
