Hi I'm Trent

I'm a weapons systems specialist for the Air Force

About Me

I love to do all things outdoors! Rock climbing, caving, camping, and water sports are my favorites. I also love to tinker with things, mostly cars and trucks but almost anything that gets in front of me for an extended amount of time will be disassembled and reassembled to i can see how it works. With no left over screws i might add! I was born in Utah, moved to California, and finished off my high school years in South Dakota. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Albuquerque New Mexico Mission. And it’s always fun to have someone ask me where I’m from so I can respond, "South Dakota". And upon seeing the look of deep thinking to remember where in the world South Dakota is i simply ask, "Ever heard of it?" It’s a blast to see where people are from and what they have gone through in their life to land them where they are now. So that’s what i do right now, I seek out those that have been prepared by God that are interested in finding out more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and share with them a message of His love for us and how we can come closer to him.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and grew up on the testimonies of my parents. I knew that i would eventually have to gain my own testimony and dearly wanted to do so. I continued attending church, fasted and prayed and in time i have gained the knowledge that this is the full and complete gospel of Jesus Christ and that he lived, died, and now lives again so that i might be able to show my Heavenly Father that I will love and honor his commandments.

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by serving the Lord and by serving others. I am now serving a mission for the church so my days are full of talking to new people all over New Mexico, and parts of Texas. But in my normal life i live it every day by not just acting like and looking like a Christian, but by fully being a Christian. Now at times i make mistakes, just like everyone else in this world, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ i have to opportunity to overcome my weaknesses and build upon my mistakes and become the best person i can be. I have also found that by simply helping others is how we as humans help ourselves. I know it may sound cheesy and old fashioned but it’s still true, Random Acts of Kindness go a long way. I have seen people grow so much more by helping others than by helping themselves.
